Another successful month for Warnken, LLC and our clients! Month after month. Year after year. Is anything better than consistency?
Last month, forty cases concluded, either permanently, or, in the case of some workers’ comp cases, for now. Of the 40, four cases resulted in recoveries to the injured client in excess of $100,000.

- Claimant was involved in a motor vehicle collision during the course of their employment sustaining injuries to the shoulder, back, knee, head and neck. Claimant was treated with diagnostic studies and pain medication. Claimant had shoulder surgery and underwent a course of physical therapy.

- Claimant was driving a semitruck during the course of emplyment when involved in a motor vehicle collision sustaining injury to the neck, back, shoulder, abdomen and pelvis. Claimant underwent two surgeries to the neck including a fusion and subsequent hardware removal. Claimant also underwent surgery due to a toe fracture.

- Claimant was at work operating a hedge trimmer and sustained a finger laceration. Claimant was treated with splinting and physical therapy.

- Injury: Epithelial defect of the eye

- Claimant sustained injury to both eyes when bleach splashed into his eyes and face.

- Injury: Fracture of the subacute left distal radius
- Amount: $27,000
- Claimant fell in the parking lot and sustained a fracture to the arm. Also injured both wrists. Claimant underwent an open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture, forearm tenolysis, and a brachioradialis tendon lengthening. After post surgical therapy, Claimant returned to work for the employer.

- Claimant sustained crush injury to the finger when it was caught between the truck liftgate and the ground. Claimant underwent a closed reduction and hand therapy. After therapy, injured worker returned to work for the same employer.

- Claimant reinjured the wrist while moving a combative patient. Claimant underwent 4 months of therapy and returned to work for the same employer.

- Injury: L5-S1 posterior disc bulge with radiculopathy
- Amount: $29,700
- Claimant sustained injury to the neck and back while trying to lift a patient who had fallen. C4-C6 mild disc bulges and L5-S1 posterior disc bulge with radiculopathy. Claimant underwent physical therapy, but was not recommended for surgery. Claimant returned to work with the same employer.

- Claimant sustained 3 separate injuries to the wrist within 11 months. Two claims went forward to a hearing. Commission denied one claim and found the other claim compensable, but awarded no benefits. Claims were resolved in lieu of an appeal for $5,000 and payment of medical bills.

- Claimant is a professional dancer who injured the foot while performing. Non weight-bearing and physical therapy.

- Worker was crushed to death and left behind spouse and 4 minor children. Dependents will receive a minimum of 12 years of weekly benefits and potentially 19 years.

- Claimant sustained a fractured foot after being run over by a pallet jack. Injured worker was placed in a non-weight bearing boot until the fracture healed and then underwent physical therapy.

- Claimant slipped and fell landing on right shoulder. Treatment consisted of injections, physical therapy., and medications

- Claimant was thrown from his bicycle, fracturing his left hip. Treatment consisted of surgery x 2, physical therapy and medications.

- Claimant attempted to stop a patient from falling and sustained injury to the wrist. Claimant had surgery for post-traumatic carpal tunnel syndrome, followed by therapy.
