Another successful month for Warnken, LLC and our clients!  Month after month.  Year after year.  Is anything better than consistency?

Last month, forty cases concluded, either permanently, or, in the case of some workers’ comp cases, for now. Of the 40, four cases resulted in recoveries to the injured client in excess of $100,000.

No two injury cases are the same.  And past successes don’t guarantee success in your case. We don’t promise specific results or specific numbers – no honest lawyer should. But we do promise our best efforts. Also, you don’t pay our fee or expenses, unless you win. Last month’s results are below.

• Claimant was at work when they slipped and fell sustaining injuries to the head and back. Claimant was treated with x-rays and physical therapy.

• Amount: $10,000
• Claimant was involved in a motor vehicle collision during the course of employment sustaining injuries to the neck, low back, and head. Claimant was treated with x-rays and physical therapy.

• Injury: Ligamentous Tear

• Claimant tried to catch a falling box at work and sustained injury to the hand. Claimant underwent two surgeries to the hand.

• Claimant was a passenger in a vehicle when involved in a motor vehicle collision. Claimant was treated with x-rays and physical therapy.

• Claimant was at work when a heavy load of construction material fell on top of their leg. Claimant underwent three surgeries to the addressed the fracture and subsequent nonunion.

• Claimant was involved in a motor vehicle collision during the course of their employment sustaining injuries to the shoulder, back, knee, head and neck. Claimant was treated with diagnostic studies and pain medication. Claimant had shoulder surgery and underwent a course of physical therapy.

• Amount: $442,690
• Claimant was driving a semitruck during the course of emplyment when involved in a motor vehicle collision sustaining injury to the neck, back, shoulder, abdomen and pelvis. Claimant underwent two surgeries to the neck including a fusion and subsequent hardware removal. Claimant also underwent surgery due to a toe fracture.

• Amount: $6,750
• Claimant was at work operating a hedge trimmer and sustained a finger laceration. Claimant was treated with splinting and physical therapy.

• Body Part(s): Eyes
• Injury: Epithelial defect of the eye
• Amount: $4,560
• Claimant sustained injury to both eyes when bleach splashed into his eyes and face.

• Body Part(s): Arm
• Injury: Fracture of the subacute left distal radius
• Amount: $27,000
• Claimant fell in the parking lot and sustained a fracture to the arm. Also injured both wrists. Claimant underwent an open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture, forearm tenolysis, and a brachioradialis tendon lengthening. After post surgical therapy, Claimant returned to work for the employer.

• Injury: Crush fracture of the middle finger
• Amount: $1,260
• Claimant sustained crush injury to the finger when it was caught between the truck liftgate and the ground. Claimant underwent a closed reduction and hand therapy. After therapy, injured worker returned to work for the same employer.

• Injury: Partial tear of the distal portion of the scapholunate interosseous ligament
• Amount: $11,500
• Claimant reinjured the wrist while moving a combative patient. Claimant underwent 4 months of therapy and returned to work for the same employer.

• Body Part(s): Back
• Injury: L5-S1 posterior disc bulge with radiculopathy
• Amount: $29,700
• Claimant sustained injury to the neck and back while trying to lift a patient who had fallen. C4-C6 mild disc bulges and L5-S1 posterior disc bulge with radiculopathy. Claimant underwent physical therapy, but was not recommended for surgery. Claimant returned to work with the same employer.

• Injury: DeQuarvain’s Syndrome
• Amount: $5,000
• Claimant sustained 3 separate injuries to the wrist within 11 months. Two claims went forward to a hearing. Commission denied one claim and found the other claim compensable, but awarded no benefits. Claims were resolved in lieu of an appeal for $5,000 and payment of medical bills.

• Claimant is a professional dancer who injured the foot while performing. Non weight-bearing and physical therapy.

• Worker was crushed to death and left behind spouse and 4 minor children. Dependents will receive a minimum of 12 years of weekly benefits and potentially 19 years.

• Injury: Fracture of the fifth metatarsal
• Amount: $6,109
• Claimant sustained a fractured foot after being run over by a pallet jack. Injured worker was placed in a non-weight bearing boot until the fracture healed and then underwent physical therapy.

• Injury: Right rotator cuff tear, AC joint sprain w/ biceps tendinitis
• Amount: $24,500
• Claimant slipped and fell landing on right shoulder. Treatment consisted of injections, physical therapy., and medications

• Amount: $92,500
• Claimant was thrown from his bicycle, fracturing his left hip. Treatment consisted of surgery x 2, physical therapy and medications.

• Injury: Cervicothoracic sprain/strain, right shoulder rotator cuff strain.,

• Claimant was involved In a MVC. Treatment consisted of physical therapy and medications.

• Injury: Impingement syndrome of left shoulder, myofascial pain
• Amount: $9,350
• Claimant was breaking up a fight when she felll to the ground, injuring her neck, back and shoulder. Treatment consisted of physical therapy, injections and medication

• Injury: Left index finger amputation, post traumatic stress disorder
• Amount: $15,276
• Claimant was operating joiner machine when he left index finger was amputated. Treatment consisted of surgery, physical therapy, psychotherapy and medications

• Claimant fell at work while exiting his vehicle. Claimant underwent surgery and post-operative therapy.

• Injury: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Amount: $7,013
• Claimant attempted to stop a patient from falling and sustained injury to the wrist. Claimant had surgery for post-traumatic carpal tunnel syndrome, followed by therapy.

• Claimant lifted a heavy object at work and felt a pop in the arm. Claimant had an MRI to rule out a bicep tear and was treated with rest and medication.

• Claimant developed low back pain due to wearing a duty belt at work. Claimant was treated with injections.

• Claimant initially sustained injury after falling from a tractor at work, which required surgery. Due to the foot injury, Claimant fell and broke the knee and needed surgery. This matter was appealed and resolved.

• Claimant slipped and fell while working and sustained injury to the shoulder. Claimant underwent two surgeries to the shoulder and was placed on permanent work restrictions.

• Claimant developed a hernia after lifting a heavy object at work. Claimant had surgery to repair the hernia. Thereafter, scar tissue build up resulted in nerve entrapment.

• Claimant injured back after a motor vehicle crash. Claimant had two fusion surgeries. On reopening, Claimant had a third fusion surgery and has permanent work restrictions

• Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a crash. Claimant was treatment with medication and physical therapy.

• Injury: Rotator Cuff tendinosis

• Claimant was working with a K9 at work when the dog pulled on the leash causing injury to the Claimant’s shoulder. Claimant had therapy and was able to continue working full duty.

• Plaintiff was injured after being involved in a motor vehicle collision. Claimant was struck by another vehicle and then his vehicle struck the wall. Claimant was treated with therapy.
